The Larson Electronics IND-TBL-BX-R15-FUVC-EXT-24.18.60-M1-WC-25C-120V is a UV Disinfection Equipment Cabinet which can disinfect 99.99% of viruses, human corona viruses (including SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19), bacteria, mold and spores found on devices. Designed for schools and occupied areas, the unit is equipped with ten mercury-free far-UV 222nm excimer lamps, which are eye and skin safe for humans. This user-friendly disinfection box has the capacity to clean up to 7 laptops or chromebooks; OR 20+ iPads or tablets, scanners, video games and controllers; OR 50+ smartphones, video games and other similar size items, as well as 30+ masks via accessible top-located hooks. The chemical/toxin-free sanitation process takes 3 minutes to complete. This system features four casters for seamless mobility around campuses and facilities.

The IND-TBL-BX-R15-FUVC-EXT-24.18.60-M1-WC-25C-120V is a powerful, eye and skin safe sanitation solution for schools, campuses and occupied areas. Equipped with ten far-UV excimer lamps, this system offers 222nm UV output during use. The mercury-free lights have an expected lifespan of 10,000+ hours and emit a flood beam pattern with 360 degrees of coverage. A stainless steel interior finish promotes UV light distribution. The lights take on the following configuration inside the UV cabinet: (1) 90-watt 18" lamp at the top, (2) 145-watt 34" lamps on the left side, (2) 145-watt 34" lamps on the right side, (2) 145-watt 34" lamps on the back side of the door, (2) 145-watt 34" lamps on the back side and (1) 90-watt 18" lamp at the base. This UV sanitation unit has the capacity to disinfect up to 7 laptops or chromebooks; OR 20+ iPads or tablets, scanners, video games and controllers; OR 50+ smartphones, video games and other similar size items, as well as 30+ masks via accessible top-located hooks.

Operation: The UV disinfection cabinet is easy to use and user friendly for all staff. Instructions for operation are available on a printed label located on the side of the unit. This UV cabinet turns off automatically when the door is open. A yellow indicator light turns on when the unit is in use to safely notify the operator about ongoing sanitation. Adhering to the 3-minute exposure time at full capacity, multiple UV cabinets can be purchased to clean several devices and masks at the same time. Operators may access an external timer on the cabinet to ensure the recommended duration of exposure is met every session. The UV lights can disinfect over 99.99% of viruses, human corona viruses (including SARS-CoV-2 that causes COVID-19), bacteria, mold and spores.

Far-UV 222 nm light is considered to be eye and skin safe for humans, allowing the lamps to be used in occupied areas safely with minimum risk. The 222 nm wavelength does not penetrate the cornea of the eye and cannot impose corneal impairment. Additionally, this UV band is blocked by the top layer of skin (stratum corneum) which protects underlying cells from damage. Exposure to far-UV 222 nm lamp does not cause skin inflammation or swelling. Due to these safety benefits, extensive protective clothing is not required when using this type of sanitation light in occupied areas.

Benefits of Excimer Far UV Lamps: When it comes to Far-UV lamps, there are few options in the skin-safe and eye-safe wavelengths. Similar to LED lamps, excimer lamps provide “instant-on†startup, and do not require a warm-up period; excimer lamps are at 100% peak output when switched on. Most lamp technologies that do product UVC use mercury in the manufacturing process. Excimer lamps have ZERO mercury, making them more environmentally friendly. Excimer lamps can be tuned to specific wavelengths (222nm wavelength for this product) and produce no harmful UVC radiation or wasteful visible light and infrared light. Excimer lamps are more efficient at converting electricity (input power) into UV irradiance, which reduces the heat output from excimer lamps over other technologies. Fluorescent, amalgam, low-pressure mercury, and high-pressure mercury lamps do not product as tight of a wavelength and generate more heat, both of which wastes energy for the UV sanitation application. Excimer lamps have a higher average UV irradiance per square inch and have a higher photon emission over other lamp technologies. Being safe for use in occupied areas, instant-on power, mercury free, higher UV output, and low heat output make Far-UV excimer lamps the preferred choice for UV sanitation and disinfecting applications.

Germicidal excimer lamps emit far-UV 222 nm light that is generated by specific excimer molecules. The far-UV lights come with an expected lifespan of 10,000+ hours. This gas-filled emitter is energy efficient and offers cool operation. A power supply is typically utilized with the non-toxic lamp to ensure consistent UV output. The sanitation light, which is suitable for use in occupied areas, features instant start capabilities.

Voltage: The IND-TBL-BX-R15-FUVC-EXT-24.18.60-M1-WC-25C-120V operates on 120V AC, 60Hz.

Wiring/Plug: This UV decontamination cabinet is equipped with 25 feet of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cord that is fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. Plug options include standard 5-15 15 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground, NEMA L5-15 15 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets, standard 5-20 20 amp straight blade plug for 110V wall outlets with ground or or NEMA L5-20 20 amp twist lock plug for 125V twist lock outlets. Alternatively, we can provide flying leads with no plug for hard wire applications or for operators who prefer to wire in user provided cord caps. Mount: The UV sanitation device has a flat base with four, 8" casters (two swivel-locking casters at the front and two stationary casters at the back) for seamless transportation over finished surfaces and rough surfaces. An accessible handle at the back of the cabinet allows operators to move the unit around the site. Regardless of the weight, the heavy-duty casters and handle allow the UV cabinet to be easily moved by one person. This sanitation system fits through standard 36" doorways. We sell mounting lugs for permanent installations if needed.

Inside the UV cabinet, four racks are available for keeping various items segregated or upright during sanitation. Individuals may also access top-located hooks for cleaning 30+ masks.

Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. Please see user manual for additional safety information.
