Epson's PowerLite X39 Projector Offers High Quality, Low Cost for Classrooms

Posted by George Spoleto on

Schools and universities looking for a low cost classroom projector that provides excellent brightness and contrast for typical classroom ambient light conditions should consider the Epson PowerLite X39. Current street price is less than $450.

The PowerLite X39, optimized for text document display, features XGA 1024 x 768 resolution, 3500 lumens and a dynamic contrast ratio of 15,000:1. In addition, the X39 offers 3-chip processing for excellent color accuracy.

Throw distance of 3.5 feet to 29.6 feet will meet the requirements of most classroom settings and produce image sizes ranging from 30 inches to 300 inches diagonal.

While the X39 offers digital zoom, manual lens focus, 5W mono built-in speakers, HDMI and RJ-45 connections it foregoes other features not required for most classroom content presentations.

Typical of Epson, the X39 comes with a 2-year projector warranty and low OEM lamp replacement costs. The  210W UHE E-TORL lamp provides 6,000 hours of rated life (12,000 in eco mode) and, when replacement is necessary, the OEM factory original lamp module (ELPLP96) is available for under $80.

If you are looking for a high quality classroom projector that excels at text and graphic display without special features - often not required for many educational settings - the PowerLite X39 should be included in your research.
