The IND-AHC-TRF-2X2-UVC-VIS-R2-120V Industrial UV Air Purifier with LED Light from Larson Electronics actively disinfects the surrounding air in occupied areas without noise. This unit uses three T8 UVC lamps that provide 15.9 watts of total UV output during UV treatment. Designed for 2x2 troffer mount installations on ceilings, the UV air purifier operates on 120V AC and is protected by 304 stainless steel enclosure. A 20-watt LED panel next to the filter provides general (non-UV) illumination in the area.

To prevent exposure, do not operate the device in any application that allows UV-C light to be visible during operation. NEVER LOOK DIRECTLY AT THE BULB OR DISINFECTING TARGET ZONE. DO NOT touch bulb with bare hands. The oils in your skin will damage the lamp. Fingerprints will result in reduced performance and significantly reduce the lifespan of the lamp unless they are removed with alcohol. Please read instruction manual for UV safety requirements before operating. UVC light in the proper setting kills up to 99.9% of viruses, mold, spores and bacteria.

The IND-AHC-TRF-2X2-UVC-VIS-R2-120V is a powerful sanitation and general-area lighting solution for occupied areas in buildings. Equipped with three T8 UVC fluorescent lamps, this system offers 15.9 watts of total UV output for sanitation, within the 200nm - 280nm UV-C range (254 nm peak). The lights have an expected lifespan of 8,000+ hours and emit a flood beam pattern inside the unit. The UV chamber has a polished surface to maximize light distribution during UV treatment. Constructed of 304 stainless steel, the UV lights are enclosed inside the unit preventing UV exposure in occupied areas. An interlock safety switch ensures automatic disconnection of power to the system when the access panel is unhinged.

Operation: Surrounding "dirty" air is drawn into the UV purifier via filters. The "dirty" air passes through the UV sanitation chamber where it is treated with UVC light using the three T8 fluorescent lamps. The disinfection process kills up to 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, mold, spores and other harmful microbes. Clean sanitized air exits the chamber through a louvered exhaust panel and is released back into the environment. This low-maintenance air disinfection process is continuous and quiet.

LED Panel: A 1x2 LED panel located next to the filter offers general (non-UV) illumination in the area. This feature makes the unit an effective replacement for traditional troffer mount lights. The LED panel offers tremendous lumen retention during its rated 50,000+ hour service life and is available in the following color temperature options: 5000K, 4500K, 4000K, 3500K or 3000K. During use, the light produces up to 1,900 lumens while drawing only 20 total watts.

LED Benefits: Unlike gas burning and arc type lamps that have glass bulbs, LEDs have no filaments or fragile housings to break during operation and/or transportation. Instead of heating a small filament or using a combination of gases to produce light, light emitting diodes (LEDs) use semi-conductive materials that illuminate when electric current is applied, providing instant illumination with no warm up or cool down time before re-striking. Because there is no warm up period, this light can be cycled on and off with no reduction in lamp life.

LED lights run at significantly cooler temperatures than traditional metal halide and high pressure sodium lights and contain no harmful gases, vapors, or mercury, making them both safer and more energy efficient. No extra energy is wasted in cooling enclosed work areas due to external heat emissions from bulb type lights, and the operator risks associated with traditional lighting methods, such as accidental burns and exposure to hazardous substances contained in the glass bulbs, are eliminated. In addition, LEDs are also safer for the environment as they are 100% recyclable, which eliminates the need for costly special disposal services required with traditional gas burning and arc type lamps.

Mounting: The IND-AHC-TRF-2X2-UVC-VIS-R2-120V is compatible with 2x2 troffer mount installations on ceilings. We offer models with surface mount features for installations on ceilings without tiles or grids.

Note on Environment: Sunlight and visible light fixtures do not impact the effectiveness of the disinfecting on this UVC sanitation product. Metal halide, high pressure sodium, fluorescent, and LED light fixtures can be left on. The UV radiation emitted from this product is not disrupted by any type of lighting in the environment. Put simply, NO it DOES NOT need to be dark in the area you plan to disinfect. The UV radiation is harmful to the eyes and skin, and that is why you should not be in the area while it is in operation.
