The QUANTUM™ Thermal Optimizer senses the temperature of the water inside the disinfection chamber. When the temperature of the water reaches approximately 110°F the valve will open, allowing water to be drained from the system. As water is drained, cooler feedwater is mixed with water in the disinfection chamber, lowering the temperature in the chamber.
