Lesco IR filters are high quality quartz plates with a special coating. It is a critical component in UV curing systems, as all light passes through it before being transmitted by the liquid filled or fiber optic light guide.

Lesco recommends replacing the IR filter every four to eight lamp changes, or when necessary.

The filter should be checked when replacing the bulb. This can be done by removing the filter holder and inspecting it for cracks or blemishes. When reinstalling, the coating side should face the bulb.
